We will visit historic Oxford University colleges, the famous Bodleian library and take a stroll round the Victorian covered market. At lunchtime, we will enjoy a leisurely punt, and a picnic on the river, with delicious fresh food from the local area. We end the day in the thatch-lined village of Minster Lovell for a luxurious overnight stop

Day Two

On our second day we will cycle through the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. With architecture dating as far back as the 11th century we will traverse the ancient trade routes towards Bourton-on-the-Water also known as “the Venice of the Cotswolds”, stopping for a relaxed riverside lunch along the way.

Day Three

On day three we will ride deeper into the heart of the Cotswolds experiencing outstanding natural beauty and historical wonders dating back to Saxon time. After a magnificent lunch at the revered Hollow Bottom Inn, we make our way through Chipping Camden famed for the most desirable high street in England and onwards to our final destination, Moreton-in-Marsh.

Day Four

Day four will see us leaving behind the rolling hills of the Cotswolds as we venture through the rural farming communities heading towards Shakespeare’s Country. After passing through the quaint and traditional farming villages we make our way into the famous town of Stratford-upon-Avon along an off-road cycleway. We arrive with plenty of time to explore the place where William Shakespeare once called home.

Day Five

On the fifth day we leave behind Stratford-upon-Avon and venture back into the Cotswolds, exploring traffic free routes, Tudor villages, buildings left by the Normans and traditional Cotswold villages on the way. The final destination for the day is the unspoilt village of Kingham, which boasts one of the best restaurants in the Cotswolds. Tonight is a night to relax and enjoy award winning cuisine.

Day Six

On the sixth day we experience the last stunning views from the Cotswolds whilst riding our way back into Oxfordshire, along the way we’ll stop in a very small village with a fabulous 16th century pub offering freshly prepared meals using locally sourced produce. After lunch we head along an off road track which takes us directly into our destination for the evening, Woodstock giving us plenty of time to explore the picturesque 11th century market town. Also located in the town is the stately home of Blenheim Palace, which with its 2000 acres of gardens and marvellous architecture offers a fantastic experience.

Day Seven

The final day gives us a chance to enjoy the tranquil canal waterways and explore a different side of Oxford City. After breakfast we bid farewell to Woodstock and slowly make our way back to Oxford totally off-road along the canal Path. Along the way we will pass by numerous locks, long boats on pleasure trips and some fantastic pubs! When we arrive back in Oxford there will be time to stop at a waterside pub for a spot of lunch before heading into a different part of the city to explore.

We greet Oxford at its historical Castle, where a guided tour will take you high into one of Oxfords oldest buildings where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views across the city, we will also delve deeper underground and experience Oxfords darker past. After leaving the Castle we scale the 13th Century Carfax tower where we’ll see the beauty of the ‘Dreaming Spires of Oxford’. After looking over the city we’ll venture onwards to Oxford’s largest College and only Cathedral before heading to the city’s oldest pub, we finish the day riding through Oxford University buildings
